The elements available in the City of Helsinki’s visual identity can be used to create diversified communications. The planning solutions that adhere to the identity are similarly a plain compact colour surface, photograph as a background, colour + typography, colour + logo etc.

The wave motifs are not to be used for creating surface of design type. The wave motifs enable a refined division of surface, in the best case an application of strong contrast and tension.
